Scope: Responsible for managing the workflow, training of new hires, creating and managing team schedules, reporting to senior management, evaluating performance and providing feedback, and helping employees resolve complex and routine issues. Must oversee the day-to-day performance of activities while prioritizing goals and clearly communicating to team members to meet competing deadlines. Promotes safe work environments and is responsible for the safety of their team. Identifying and applying career advancement opportunities for team members.
Responsibilities & Duties: Organize paperwork for inbound receipts and outbound orders Direct personnel to offload and load trucks Check inbound and outbound freight/orders for accuracy Direct personnel to pick/stage orders Verify product discrepancies / product confirmations Oversee Cycle counts Ensure all employees are working safely Handle all cross-dock freight Handle communication between warehouse and office Open and close warehouse Ensure all employees are following proper procedures Create tasks for Weekend shift File daily paperwork Ensure all equipment is checked and maintained properly Assist with the day-to-day warehouse operations volumes Experience & Qualifications: 1-2 years’ experience as a warehouse lead Valid Forklift License Able to lift up to 80 lbs Mindset & Personality: Safety Conscience Adaptable Works well under pressure Team player Good written and verbal communication Skills & Abilities: Mathematical Aptitude Strong attention to detail Organized Effective Time Management North American Freight Forwarding Inc. offers great employee perks including: Competitive compensation – Above market, based on experience Extended health benefits Dental care Vision care Employee Assistance Program Life insurance Casual work environment Engaging social activities and events throughout the year Our organization takes the accessibility needs of employees and candidates with disabilities into account during the position summary review process.
