Reporting to the Manager of the Design Department, the Land Development Project Manager will be responsible for leading site plan and subdivision projects, preparing preliminary and final grading plans, preparing servicing designs and providing training to junior staff.

Summary of Duties/Responsibilities

  • Complete and review Functional Servicing Reports and preliminary and detailed design drawings.
  • Maintain relationships with clients and approval agencies.
  • Lead project team meetings.
  • Assign work and oversee drafting and design work for junior staff.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior staff to assist them in career development.


Qualifications

  • A University Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) in the Province of Ontario is an asset.
  • At least five years’ relevant experience in land development.
  • Experience working on subdivisions, site plans, master environmental servicing plans, and stormwater management plans.
  • Experience in the preparation of civil engineering design drawings.
  • Familiar with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil3D software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to multi-task and provide deliverables effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
