Position Overview
AgroGene Solutions is seeking a highly motivated, independent, and collaborative Laboratory Scientist to support ongoing molecular biology projects. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a dynamic research environment and demonstrates excellent technical execution, problem-solving skills, and strong teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
Perform DNA and RNA manipulation, including extraction, purification, and quantification
Optimize molecular panels for qPCR, including primer/probe evaluation and assay performance refinement
Execute molecular biology experiments with precision and adherence to protocols
Develop and write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for laboratory processes
Prepare technical reports and research summaries to document results, troubleshoot issues, and communicate findings
Maintain laboratory records, equipment, and reagents according to internal quality and safety standards
Contribute proactively to a collaborative, team‑oriented environment while also demonstrating strong independent work skills

Required Qualifications
MSc in Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific field
Proven hands-on experience with DNA/RNA techniques and qPCR workflows
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team
Assets
PhD in a relevant scientific discipline
Experience optimizing molecular assays or working in a regulated laboratory environment
Familiarity with high-throughput molecular platforms or molecular biology workflows

Benefits and salary
Salary range: $52,000–$60,000 annually, depending on experience
