About the Role
We are seeking a high-energy, compassionate Kids Yoga Instructor to join our children's enrichment programs. You won't just be teaching poses; you will be a mentor providing kids with the social-emotional learning (SEL) tools they need to thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Engaging Classes: Facilitate age-appropriate yoga sessions (ages 3–12) that blend movement, storytelling, and music.
- Integrate SEL: Explicitly teach mindfulness and emotional regulation techniques, helping children navigate feelings and build resilience.
- Classroom Management: Use positive reinforcement and creative engagement strategies to manage group dynamics and energy levels.
- Safety & Inclusion: Ensure a safe, non-competitive environment where every child feels supported and included.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years working with children (e.g., teaching, camp counseling, or youth volunteering).
- Certification: Training provided. However, Yoga Teacher Certification (RYT-200) and Children's Yoga training (RCYT) is a major plus.
- Attributes: Enthusiastic, patient, adaptable, and a genuine passion for youth development.
- Requirements: Must pass a criminal background and child abuse clearance check.
