About the role
- We are hiring Project Control Officers (PCO) / Senior Project Analysts to support a large portfolio of regulatory and technology-driven initiatives within the Client.
- These roles will work closely with Senior Project Managers, Delivery Leads, and Portfolio Leadership to drive execution across multiple high-value projects.
- This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to enterprise-scale regulatory programs, financial governance, and cross-functional stakeholder management within one of Canada's leading financial institutions.
Responsibilities
Must Have Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Project Managers and Delivery Leads to support end-to-end project execution
- Coordinate across multiple concurrent projects within a large portfolio (~100+ resources)
- Manage project governance including status reporting, risk/issue tracking, and documentation
- Support financial management activities including budget tracking (projects ~$10M–$100M+), forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors (20–40 stakeholders monthly)
- Ensure projects meet regulatory deadlines and compliance requirements
- Work in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment supporting technology initiatives
- Facilitate communication across teams and ensure alignment on deliverables and timelines
Experience
- 10+ years of overall experience (flexible based on fit)
- Experience supporting multiple large-scale projects with $10M+ budgets
- Strong financial management skills (forecasting, accruals, variance tracking, SOW management)
- Exposure to technology projects (application development preferred)
- Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models
- Previous experience in banking, financial services, or fintech preferred
- Experience in regulatory or compliance-driven projects preferred
Skillsets
MUST-HAVE Hard Skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, macros, reporting, data analysis)
- Financial management – knowledge of accruals, management of SOWs, forecasting variance
- Supporting multiple projects simultaneously with $10M+ budgets
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Clarity or equivalent tools
- Experience with the Client, banking or fintech background
- Regulatory project experience
- PMP or related certifications
SOFT SKILLS
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong coordination skills across multiple teams and external partners
- Experience presenting updates to senior or executive stakeholders
- A calm, practical approach to delivery and problem‑solving
- Comfort working in ambiguous environments
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and responsibility
- Resourceful and proactive mindset
Education
- Post‑secondary education preferred
