Job Description

JUNIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER

(FULL-TIME 8-12 MONTH CONTRACT, FLEXIBLE)

Hiring Range: $23-$27 hourly                          Vacancy Status: Existing Vacancy

WHO WE ARE

Toronto Global is the first point of contact for international businesses looking to expand in the Toronto Region. Our expert team works closely with companies to help them make connections and access talent in North America’s fastest-growing, most-educated, and diverse market. Funded by all three levels of government, our services include industry and academic partnerships, strategic research, marketing and PR, and government relations.

OUR PEOPLE & CULTURE

We're a small-but-mighty marketing and communications team inside Toronto Global. Our job is to tell the story of the city and its surrounding region to the world, and we take that seriously without taking ourselves too seriously.

You’ll work alongside writers, designers, strategists, and video folks who care about craft: sharp ideas, strong visuals, clean editing, and work that actually lands with an audience. We experiment across platforms, learn fast, and share feedback early, because the best work gets built in the open.

We’re based downtown, steps from St. Andrew Station surrounded by the best parts of Toronto: culture, restaurants, sports, and just enough street-level chaos to keep you awake. We work in a flexible hybrid setup with a minimum of 3 days/week in-office and up to 2 days/week from home.

If you want a place where your work matters, your ideas get airtime, and “FDI” turns into real stories about people, places, and ambition, you’ll feel at home here.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Senior Videographer & Content Marketing Strategist, the Junior Graphic Designer supports our digital-first marketing and communications efforts by creating smart, modern visual content that helps our stories travel. You’ll assist with design for social, web updates, brand initiatives, and client announcements, while also supporting ongoing website design and corporate communications projects for the executive team.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate in graphic design, graphic communications, digital marketing, new media, or a related field. If you’re excited by fast turnarounds, varied creative, and building a portfolio with real-world work (not endless spec concepts), you’ll get a lot of runway here.
