Job Description

Job Title: Junior Energy and Carbon Analyst

Company: 360 Energy Inc.

Location: Ancaster Ontario

About Us: 360 Energy Inc. is trusted and independent energy advisory firm that has spent nearly 30 years helping North America's leading industrial and Greenhouse organizations take control of their energy costs, strengthen their energy security, and reduce carbon emissions. We don't sell energy — we provide the strategic intelligence and tools our clients need to treat energy as a controllable business variable, not a fixed overhead. Our clients consistently achieve 10–33% energy cost reductions with 300%+ ROI.

With proprietary technology platforms including Envirally (AI-powered energy management), 360 GrO and Carbon Excellence (carbon management framework), we partner with organizations across sectors to deliver measurable financial and environmental results. We are seeking a motivated Junior Energy and Carbon Analyst to join our growing team and help our clients navigate an increasingly complex and volatile energy landscape.

The Opportunity

Energy costs are rising, markets are becoming more volatile, and regulatory expectations around carbon reporting are intensifying. Organizations need sharper energy strategies — and that's where you come in. As a Junior Energy and Carbon Analyst, you will work alongside experienced energy advisors to help clients understand where their energy dollars are going, identify savings opportunities, strengthen their energy resilience, and build credible pathways to lower carbon emissions. This is a ground-floor opportunity to develop deep expertise in energy markets, data analytics, and sustainability — skills that are in rapidly growing demand.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze client energy consumption and cost data to uncover inefficiencies, demand patterns, and savings opportunities.
  • Support the development of energy management strategies that reduce costs, mitigate price risk, and improve energy security for industrial and commercial facilities.
  • Conduct carbon footprint assessments and help clients establish credible, measurable emission reduction targets and action plans.
  • Assist clients in navigating Ontario's evolving electricity markets, including regulatory compliance, incentive programs, and market renewal impacts.
  • Provide research and technical support on renewable energy solutions, carbon offset options, and emerging energy technologies.
  • Contribute to client reporting and presentations that translate complex energy and emissions data into clear, actionable business insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including software developers, account managers, and senior advisors — to deliver high-quality client outcomes.
  • Stay current on energy market trends, carbon regulations, and emerging technologies in energy and carbon management.

What You Bring

  • College/Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, engineering, environmental science, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • No prior experience required, but exposure to energy analysis markets or energy consumption, carbon accounting is an asset.
  • Curiosity about energy and carbon markets, pricing mechanisms, and what drives energy costs for businesses.
  • Proficiency (or strong interest in developing proficiency) in data analysis tools such as Excel, Python, or R. Experience with energy modeling software (e.g., RETScreen, EnergyPlus) is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with or interest in energy rates (e.g., GHG Protocol) and relevant reporting frameworks (e.g., CDP, GRI, OBPS).
  • Strong communication skills the ability to make complex technical information understandable and actionable for business audiences.
  • Solid organizational and project management abilities; comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • A problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to help businesses operate more efficiently and sustainably.
  • Collaborative spirit you thrive in a team environment.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits package (extended health care, vision care, life insurance, paid time off).
  • Direct exposure to major industrial/Greenhouse clients and real-world energy challenges.
  • Professional development in one of the fastest-growing advisory fields in North America.
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial work environment where your contributions matter.
  • The opportunity to work at the intersection of energy cost management, energy security, and sustainability making a tangible impact on both business performance and environmental outcomes.
  • Casual dress, company events, and on-site parking.
  • Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts. French not required.
