Job Description
Position Overview
We are hiring a Junior Automation Professional to join our team in Lethbridge, Alberta. The role focuses on control system design, PLC and SCADA programming, and system commissioning. The successful candidate will collaborate with our automation and controls team to deliver industry‑leading services across Southern Alberta and Western Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Mandatory Qualifications
- Diploma or degree from an accredited post‑secondary institution.
- Programming experience with a variety of automation software and hardware.
- Experience or knowledge with design software (AutoCAD an asset).
- Willingness to travel to support maintenance and commissioning tasks.
- Availability for PLC, SCADA systems, and related communications emergency support.
- Licensed or eligible for licensing or certification with APEGA/ASET.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Class 5 driver’s license and personal vehicle for out‑of‑town work as required.
Experience
Zero to two years of experience in related positions is acceptable.
