Job Description
- Application Support and Maintenance, 24/7. Work location Markham/Toronto, Canada
- Overall experience of 7-10 years working in Java application support and/or development area
- Proficient in Java Core, JBOSS, Spring Boot, Spring MVC Concepts, RESTful Webservices, Hibernate/JPA,
- DB2 or any relevant SQL, JSP, Basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Knowledge in Struts framework, Spring Batch Knowledge and experience in managing and developing Spring Batch Jobs will be preferred and an additional benefit
- Perform Impact Analysis across multiple platforms and applications
- Deliver complete documentation for estimates, design, and development
- Help determine and capture future business requirements
- Facilitate and coordinates design sessions
- Support System Test, UAT, and project implementation
- Identify and assess complex problems and create solutions that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Identify the hours required to perform the required changes and perform changes in the identified/impacted systems.
- Develop strategy and functionality and demonstrate possible solutions to business and IT stakeholders and provide support to develop technical solutions.
- A quick learner with ability to grasp new things at a fast pace
- Ability to work simultaneously on support and enhancement/maintenance activities with equal focus on both
- Good knowledge of release procedure
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with customer
- Good team player, capable of leading geographically diverse team
