Job Description

  • Application Support and Maintenance, 24/7. Work location Markham/Toronto, Canada
  • Overall experience of 7-10 years working in Java application support and/or development area
  • Proficient in Java Core, JBOSS, Spring Boot, Spring MVC Concepts, RESTful Webservices, Hibernate/JPA,
  • DB2 or any relevant SQL, JSP, Basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Knowledge in Struts framework, Spring Batch Knowledge and experience in managing and developing Spring Batch Jobs will be preferred and an additional benefit
  • Perform Impact Analysis across multiple platforms and applications
  • Deliver complete documentation for estimates, design, and development
  • Help determine and capture future business requirements
  • Facilitate and coordinates design sessions
  • Support System Test, UAT, and project implementation
  • Identify and assess complex problems and create solutions that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Identify the hours required to perform the required changes and perform changes in the identified/impacted systems.
  • Develop strategy and functionality and demonstrate possible solutions to business and IT stakeholders and provide support to develop technical solutions.
  • A quick learner with ability to grasp new things at a fast pace
  • Ability to work simultaneously on support and enhancement/maintenance activities with equal focus on both
  • Good knowledge of release procedure
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with customer
  • Good team player, capable of leading geographically diverse team
