Role: Java/Scala Developer with Hadoop and Spark
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Term: Contract
“Hadoop, Spark and Java/Scala Developer with Minimum 5 years of hands on experience
Must to Have:
• 5+ years application development experience in Hadoop, Spark and Java/Scala.
• 6+ years application development experience in Java and Spring Framework
• 5+ years in developing and optimizing Big Data applications using Java/Scala and Spark on Cloudera/HDP.
• Experience in developing/designing micro-service architecture.
• Extensive experience in one of the cloud providers AWS/Azure and migrating large scale complex projects from on-prem to Cloud including in-between hybrid options
• Proven hands-on experience in containerization – Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift etc.
• Experience in developing applications in Spring & Spring Boot
• Working knowledge of Jenkins CI, Git, CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders – business and technical
Nice to Have
• Experience in building data pipelines on AWS/Azure and/or Databricks
• Knowledge in Market Risk/Capital Markets/Banking.””
