IT Project Manager
Job Title: IT - IT Project Manager - Intermediate
Start/End Dates: 2026-01-26 - 2026-03-25
Location: Toronto, near Union Station and TTC
Office Location: 81 Bay Street, downtown Toronto
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 2 days a week on-site, along with one Friday a month
Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Target rate: $80-90/hr on B2B
Team Size: 6

Project Details
Focus: Setting up Data Management/Data Governance with MS Purview Tool. Implementation of Purview SaaS. Resource not expected to know Purview, expected to use Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project).
Responsibilities
- Program and Project Management: Leverage deep understanding of Program and Project management principles including project status, schedule and change request management; work with leads from business and technology to drive closure of identified Line of Business deficiencies; support status reporting at various levels; assist with financials; facilitate team and executive meetings; build meeting materials and provide post meeting support; maintain and update delivery roadmaps; track progress on key milestones; maintain and update defect tracker with incoming tickets, escalation of unresolved issues, coordination with tech and third party vendor for resolution.
- Financial Management: Collaborate effectively with leads to gather inputs, develop financial forecasts, analyze variances and accruals, and create executive level financial reports.
- Communication: Develop compelling presentation materials to report Program status and support executive discussion and decision making; participate and/or facilitate meetings where required including executive and third party vendor.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Line of Business teams to achieve common goal and deliverables and milestones.
- Program Closure and Transition: Develop transition plan for the business to manage once program closes, including build of new processes and activities; assist with the closure of the program ensuring all required documents are in place and no audit gaps.
Qualifications
- 10+ Years IT Project Management Experience
- 3-5 Years Program Management Experience
- Proven track record of implementing Technology Solutions
- Minimum 5–7 years experience
- Nice to have: Previous project experience related to Data Management/Governance
- Nice to have: Previous CIBC Experience
