IT Business Systems Analyst V
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, Fridays WFH)
Rate: $85–$95/hr
Contract: 1 year (extension / conversion possible)
Overview
We are seeking a senior IT Business Systems Analyst to support large-scale Treasury Technology and Capital Management initiatives within a financial services environment. This role will focus on moving in-house EUCs to vendor platforms, enabling new data flows, and supporting market risk and capital management system transformations.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate capital management business rules into detailed technology requirements, mappings, and controls
- Author user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability artifacts using JIRA and Confluence
- Develop and maintain data lineage, catalogs, and control documentation to ensure audit readiness
- Prepare and execute test cases, QA activities, and defect triage
- Conduct data discovery and profiling across critical capital data sources
- Build data and process flows using Visio, Confluence, and related tools
- Perform SQL-based analysis across large datasets
- Collaborate closely with business, technology partners, and Agile POD teams
Must-Have Qualifications
- 7+ years translating business rules into technology requirements with full traceability
- Strong hands-on SQL and data analysis experience across large datasets
- 7+ years in data integration, testing methodologies, and process documentation
- Proven experience creating data/process flows and governance artifacts
- Solid understanding of financial products and capital-related data
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Capital/Credit engines, QRM, or Market Risk technology implementations
- Familiarity with Axiom for capital reporting
- Experience in Treasury or Capital Management technology
- CFA or FRM certification
- BSA or related professional certification
