IT Asset Management Specialist

Job Description

We are hiring for a
4-month contract opportunity with strong potential for extension
for a specialized
IT Asset Management (ITAM) professional
with hands-on experience in
ServiceNow CMDB and SAMPRO
.

This is a governance-focused, hands-on role supporting enterprise asset lifecycle, compliance, and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end software and hardware asset management activities
• Govern, validate, and maintain IT assets across the organization
• Ensure assets are accurately recorded, reconciled, and maintained throughout their lifecycle
• Perform software license tracking, discovery, and reconciliation using SAMPRO
• Support asset-related risk, governance, and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to validate asset data
• Maintain high data integrity within ServiceNow CMDB and SAMPRO
• Support governance and audit processes related to asset lifecycle management
• Manage relationships between CMDB and Software Installation tables in ServiceNow

Required Experience:

• Strong experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM)
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow (CMDB is mandatory)
• Proven experience working with SAMPRO or similar SAM tools
• Experience in IT governance, audit, and compliance (Standards 031 exposure preferred)
• Experience managing both software and hardware assets
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Nice to Have:

• 2–5 years of overall IT experience
• Certifications such as CSAM, IT Asset Manager, or audit-related certifications
• Experience in large or complex enterprise environments
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
