We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Arborist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and caring for trees and landscaped areas, ensuring safety, health, and aesthetic appeal. This role requires a strong understanding of horticulture practices, tree maintenance techniques, and the safe operation of specialized equipment. The Arborist will work outdoors in various weather conditions and collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality landscape maintenance services.
Duties
- Prune, trim, and remove trees using proper techniques to promote health and safety
- Operate bucket trucks, rigging equipment, and other machinery safely and efficiently
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting, fertilizing, and mulching
- Use GIS tools for mapping and planning tree care projects
- Perform hazard assessments and ensure all work complies with safety standards
- Assist in the installation of new trees and landscape features
- Maintain equipment and ensure all tools are in good working condition
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope
Skills
- Proficiency in rigging techniques for safe tree removal and pruning
- Experience operating bucket trucks and bucket operation equipment
- Knowledge of GIS applications related to landscape planning and management
- Background in landscape maintenance or horticulture preferred
- Strong understanding of horticultural principles to promote tree health
- Ability to work at heights safely using appropriate safety gear
- Good physical condition with the ability to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety and precision
Job Type: Seasonal
Pay: $36.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
