Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an IRATA Level 3 Technician based in Alberta, Canada. The IRATA Level 3 Technician will be responsible for performing advanced rope access techniques to carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs on industrial structures and equipment. Daily tasks include supervising rope access operations, leading teams to ensure compliance with safety standards, maintaining equipment in line with industry regulations, and documenting inspection findings. The technician will ensure the proper application of safety and work-at-height procedures in alignment with IRATA standards and company protocols.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Rope Access techniques and practices, with current and valid IRATA Level 3 certification.
- Experience in maintenance of industrial structures.
- Leadership and supervisory skills to effectively manage rope access teams and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Competency in documenting activities, analyzing technical data, and reporting findings accurately and clearly.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety standards, regulations, and best practices for working at height.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, or maintain industrial equipment in challenging environments.
- Valid first aid certification and any additional safety-related training or certifications are an asset.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including confined spaces.
