Job Type:                        Full Time Permanent

Location:                        NBCC Head Office / Remote work from home


Hours of Work:             Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm


 


Job Summary:

The Inventory Planner / Analyst is required to manage inventory levels to meet the target turnover metric through analyzing forecasts, MRP, safety stocks, and other demand inputs to ensure sales have enough to meet customer demand.

The Inventory Planner / Analyst is responsible for the maintaining, monitoring, and analyzing the OEM/Aftermarket inventory of NTN. The incumbent will minimize inventory risk, and, but still maintain the flow of inventory for the OEM/Aftermarket Sector.


 

Duties & Responsibilities:      

  • Reviewing demand then checking available stock and conformance to the inventory plan and order more stock if necessary.
  • Sending Inquiries to the appropriate manufacturing facility.
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers.
  • Release Purchase Orders in a timely manner.
  • Analysis Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and forecasts to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain inventory levels to meet forecasted budget by division.
  • Confirm Purchase order details with global manufacturing facilities to ensure timely delivery dates and negotiate production schedule changes.
  • Liaison with Sales and Production to manage supply for new business opportunities.
  • Expedites Delivery and Follow-Up on POs with the NTN factories and suppliers
  • Responsible for filling back orders
  • Liaison between sales and production
  • Apply strategic planning to ensure the availability of all necessary inventory required to support the business.
  • Ensure appropriate levels of inventory on hand, in an environment with long lead times.
  • Advise the Purchasing Manager where inventory levels are depleted/low or excess and take appropriate actions to manage impact.
  • Assist with budget planning.
  • Fulfill and meet Key Performance Indices (KPI’s)
  • Perform other duties as required.


 

Knowledge:     

  • Knowledge and understanding of integrated supply chain and logistics concepts and theories.
  • Knowledge and experience with operations
  • Exceptional forecasting ability with strong analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures.
  • Knowledge of accounting system
  • Advanced level Microsoft Office Excel
  • Knowledge of JDE and ERP systems an asset
  • Knowledge of Power Bi and SQL an asset
  • Knowledge of local and global markets for the industry is an asset.

Education and Professional Experience:       

  • College Diploma or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, economics, or finance.
  • Proven success in an Inventory Management role.
  • 3-5 years in Inventory Planning or Inventory Analyst role.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Strong writing skills for creating reports, correspondence, contracts, requests, bids, and other documentation.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management (SCM) software
