Job Description:
As an Inventory Control Supervisor at Alpha Shades, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing various aspects of our inventory management processes. You will be responsible for supervising, planning, assigning, and reviewing the work of clerks engaged in activities such as shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and maintaining inventories of materials, parts, and blinds products. In addition to these responsibilities, you will oversee the processing of purchasing transactions, coordinate production work, dispatch crews, schedule transportation routes, and handle other related activities. Your key responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of clerks engaged in inventory-related tasks, ensuring seamless operations.
Uphold compliance with Alpha Shades’ policies, safety and security procedures, and industry standards and regulations.
Identify and resolve problems and complaints related to inventory management, and implement corrective measures and process improvements.
Train and mentor workers in their job duties to enhance team performance.
Requisition supplies and materials to meet the operational needs efficiently.
Ensure the smooth operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as required.
Conduct performance reviews of supervised workers when necessary.
Be prepared to perform the same duties as workers supervised, leading by example.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should meet the following employment requirements:
Completion of a post-secondary education program of two to three years in business, supply chain, production, or manufacturing management, or a related field.
Several years of experience in the occupation being supervised.
