About you:
You are a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who enjoys all aspects of the internal audit lifecycle including planning, fieldwork and reporting. You are experienced in analyzing business and accounting processes to assess risks, identify controls and develop appropriate procedures to test such controls. You are an exceptional leader and communicator and capable of building meaningful relationships with individuals at all levels within the organization.
Tasks:
Managing the budget and resources for the annual audit plan
Evaluating process risks and identifying internal controls to test
Developing appropriate procedures to test controls
Identifying and communicating potential control weaknesses
Reviewing audit work completed by internal auditors
Working with management to resolve issues identified
Supervising and mentoring internal auditors
Performing other internal-audit related work as assigned
Skills required:
Accounting degree and CPA or CIA designation
5 years of related experience in an internal audit function
Ability to travel within Canada and the US
Strong oral and written communications skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and skills
