Hours: Monday to Friday; 8:30am – 5:00pm (Flexible)
Type: Full-Time; 6 Months Fixed-Term Contract

We are a national provider of workplace medical testing and assessments based in Ayr, Ontario. We have Occupational Health Clinics in Kitchener, Sarnia, Mississauga, Calgary, Nisku, Edmonton and Fort McMurray.

We are seeking an Intermediate Software Developer (Remote). The primary focus of the Software Developer would be to work independently contributing features and bug fixes as well as design specifications and requirement documents for the overall development of software products. You will be responsible to work in conjunction with the Manager.

Some key responsibilities:


Department Specific Functions
Engage directly with end users, understand their workflows and uncover their needs
Create, incorporate and execute technological solutions to produce real business value
Collaborate with dynamic team members to rapidly move from concept to working Implementation
Respond to user/client/project support needs and resolve issues in a timely fashion accordingly
Write high quality code and test cases
Perform code reviews
Train users
Be agile. Design, implement and iterate
Voice your opinion, challenge the status quo

About you and your skills:

Degree or Diploma in computer science or related field;
3+ years’ experience in software development;
Demonstrable experience building apps in JavaScript, using frameworks such as AngularJs, ReactJs, or Dojo;
Have built rich, interactive UIs for web and mobile on top of RESTful APIs;
Must have some back-end experience, preferably Java or NodeJs;
Working knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL databases;
Cross-browser development & testing experience;
Loves to troubleshoot and teach other;
Experience with source control and defect tracking systems;
Comfortable in Linux-based production environment;
Computer Science or equivalent degree;
Excellent judgement, both in technical and organizational problem solving;
