Insurance Processing Assistant (Underwriting Support)



Support underwriting operations in the insurance industry with this hybrid contract opportunity. Contribute to commercial property and casualty accounts while gaining exposure to data entry, policy pre-work, and broker communication. Ideal for candidates with insurance education and 1–3 years of administrative experience.



What is in it for you:




• Salaried: $20 per hour.


• 6-month contract.


• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.


• Hybrid work: 50% remote.



Responsibilities:




• Enter data into the RTM system for new business, renewals, and policy changes under the direction of underwriters.


• Order reports and assist with billing processes.


• Maintain a high level of broker satisfaction through professional interactions.


• Support the underwriting team in achieving production targets.


• Prepare underwriting pre-work for property and casualty policies.


• Manage filing, faxing, and photocopying of underwriting materials.


• Process loss control reports and other administrative tasks.


• Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment and meet deadlines.



What you will need to succeed:




• Completion of a diploma, degree, or accredited program related to insurance or business is preferred.


• 1–3 years of experience in an administrative support role.


• Background in property and casualty insurance is required.


• Familiarity with underwriting procedures and policies.


• Strong attention to detail.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Solid analytical and decision-making abilities.


• Strong organizational and time management skills.
