Silver Cross is a leader in accessibility and patient care products, installing and servicing wheelchair lifts, stairlifts, elevators for home, ceiling track lifts and patient slings.

Position Summary

Silver Cross is seeking an Installation & Service Technician to join our team in the London area. Silver Cross specializes in selling new and recycled home healthcare equipment, catering primarily to seniors, caregivers, and individuals with mobility challenges. Committed to excellence in customer service and client consultation, Silver Cross aims to set the standard in the accessibility industry.

Six month contract position with a three month probation period.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently install and service: stairlifts, wheelchair lifts, home elevators, and other mobility and accessibility products.
  • Provide on-site training to clients on product use and maintenance.
  • Thoroughly complete all installation and service-related documentation.
  • Collect customer payments after installations or services.
  • Local travel within London and the surrounding areas during business hours.

Mindset, Skills & Education

  • Empathetic and diligent individual who understands the unique needs of clients, particularly seniors and individuals with disabilities.
  • 2+ years of experience in repair or installation roles.
  • 2+ years of mechanical/electrical experience.
  • 2+ years of direct client-facing experience, preferably in a home setting.
  • Organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude; willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Responsible and adept at managing time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both colleagues and clients including written communication.
  • Ability to interpret and work with electrical schematics.
  • Capability to lift 50-75 lbs.
  • Drivers license is required.
