Insight Global is looking for a IT & Innovation Manager to work with a top Ontario University, operating in a competitive market for professional and executive continuing education. This person will help develop strategies for development, management, implementation, financial planning and technology monitoring for the school. The role also oversees local application integration with other university systems. Day to day will include managing a team to provide effective IT and audio-visual support, database technical management, and media production while leading the assessment, selection and implementation of future software.

This person will also be responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives and evaluations. The role ensures systems are modified to operate reliably, ensures remote access, develops maintenance procedures and keeps apprised of new technology for continual advancement.


Requirements:

· 5+ years of related IT experience


· 2+ years people management experience

· Bachelors degree in relevant discipline, such as information technology, management sciences, computer science/studies or software/computer


Must Haves:


· Office 365 (incl. Sharepoint)

· Server management/administration (Linux)

· Some familiarity with code languages (HTML, CSS, PHP)

· IT ticketing programs


· Knowledge around email domains, DNS, especially in the context of email marketing

· Knowledge of database systems MSSQL PLSQL MYSQL

· Experience with Learning Management Systems (within the education space)

· Knowledge of dealing with system complexities, such as multiple systems, integration challenges, privacy, seamless interfacing.


· Strategic planning, project management, technical management data center management, developing budgets, and quality management skills.

· Ability to develop and lead a cohesive team and manage performance and productivity

· Knowledge of workstation hardware and audio visual hardware

· Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives of operational processes and technology applications


Strong communication skills


Plusses:

· PMP Certified or Certificate in Project Management.


· Experience with Zoom, Adobe, Google Analytics, and other distance education technology

· Familiarity or ability to become familiar with Salesforce

· Knowledge of developing and executing transformational IT solutions

· Experience developing new policies and procedures related to technology
