We are seeking a Human Resources Site Partner for Villa Santa Maria Community in Woodbridge, Ontario reporting to the Director of Human Resource Business Partner, Long Term Care. The successful candidate will work on-site alongside the Executive Director, focusing on fostering a positive work environment and cultivating a culture of community and positivity among Team Members!

On-Site at our Long Term Care Community Villa Santa Maria Long Term Care Home – 5400 Steeles Ave W, Woodbridge, ON L4L 9S1

What You Will be Doing:

  • Onboarding and Orientation: Direct the onboarding process and coordinate mandatory orientation sessions, ensuring all new hires are effectively integrated into the community
  • Organizational Culture: Spearhead both corporate and site-specific efforts to foster a positive organizational culture
  • Learning and Development: Support opportunities for learning, including initiatives aimed at strengthening leadership skills and team collaboration
  • Employee Engagement: Lead efforts to boost team member engagement and morale, while also implementing actions to augment employee retention
  • Compliance and Investigations: Engage in handling complaints and conducting investigations, making certain that all procedures are in line with HR policies and regulations
  • Union Relations: Work closely with union representatives to maintain and foster positive relationship
  • Workers’ Compensation: Lead the management of WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board) claims, coordinating with external vendor, the leadership team, and team members for effective resolution
  • Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to all workplace health and safety protocols, promoting a safe and healthy work environment

Who You Are:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field
  • You bring 4-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, ideally within the healthcare sector
  • You have a demonstrated history of success in transforming organizational culture, enhancing leadership development, and optimizing performance management systems
  • Your previous roles have involved strategies that significantly improved employee retention and engagement
  • You possess deep understanding and expertise in Human Resources processes, policies, and regulatory compliance
  • You have hands-on experience navigating an unionized work environments and managing labour relations effectively
  • Your communication skills are exceptional, complemented by strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities
  • Holding a Human Resources certification, such as CHRP or CHRL, is considered an asset
