The HR Associate plays a key role in delivering accurate, responsive, and well-organized HR support across the organization. This position ensures the smooth administration of daily HR operations, from recruitment and onboarding to employee documentation, HRIS maintenance, payroll coordination, and benefits administration. Working closely with leaders, staff, Finance, and HR colleagues, the HR Associate helps create a positive employee experience by providing timely guidance, maintaining accurate records, and supporting consistent, compliant HR processes.

What Youll Do:
HR Operations & Employee Support
- Manage the HR inbox and provide timely guidance on HR policies and employment standards.
- Prepare HR documents (offer letters, confirmations, status changes, leave letters).
- Monitor probation and performance review deadlines.
- Maintain employee files and ensure accurate HRIS updates.
- Support HRIS users and identify opportunities for improvements.
- Work with Finance to ensure payroll changes are accurate and timely.
- Support HR initiatives, compensation updates, and annual processes.
- Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement efforts.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Support recruitment by posting jobs, scheduling interviews, screening and conducting interviews and completing reference checks.
- Assist with onboarding logistics, documentation, and orientation support.
Benefits Coordination
- Administer benefits programs (enrollments, changes, terminations) and support employee inquiries.
- Provide benefits orientation to new hires and complete regular audits.
- Oversee employee leave administration.
What You Bring:
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in an HR coordination, HR assistant, or similar role.
- Experience supporting recruitment.
Skills & Attributes
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency with MS Office and HR systems; comfort learning new tools and platforms.
- Understanding of payroll compliance is an asset.
