Job Description
The Hub Sort Manager is responsible for managing and supervising day-to-day sorting activities, including staff dispatch and management, activity analysis and planning, in collaboration with the other members of his sorting operations team.
Responsibilities
Create a positive work environment, developing the sense of belonging of employees and creating a team atmosphere.
Achieve objectives as defined in the operational dashboard (health and safety, productivity, quality).
Ensure the performance management of unionized employees (25-35), in accordance with operational standards and indices.
Improve operational standards by tracking employee performance through coaching, discipline, training, coaching and recognition.
Manage labor relations including the application of the provisions of collective agreements including the settlement of grievances, work schedules, health and safety.
Communicate and implement policies, procedures and programs.
All other related and assigned tasks

Experience in managing and supervising staff (union member an important asset)
Experience or knowledge in the transport/logistics industry, including a good knowledge of methods and procedures (an asset)
Knowledge of work-related computer applications (Microsoft environment, SAP)
