Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in home care environments. The Home Support Worker will play a vital role in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for clients with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized care such as dementia or hospice support. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized caregiving and support.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and medical terminology protocols.
• Support patients with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a caring and respectful environment.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning of living spaces to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
• Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or case managers promptly.
• Assist with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety for both clients and staff.
• Support clients with activities tailored to their individual needs such as dementia care or hospice care.
• Document care provided accurately in compliance with agency policies and healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans that meet each client's unique requirements.

Requirements

• Valid First Aid and CPR Certifications.
• Prior experience working in nursing homes, senior care, home care, or assisted living environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care procedures.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring dementia or hospice care is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs of clients.
• Strong communication skills coupled with compassionate caregiving abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; some roles may require evening or weekend availability.
• Certification in caregiving or relevant healthcare training is a plus but not mandatory. This role is ideal for caring professionals committed to providing empathetic support while maintaining high standards of safety and quality of life for clients in need of assistance.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
