Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide high-quality care to a handicapped adult (male). The ideal candidate will support patient with daily activities, personal hygiene, medication administration, and emotional well-being, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. Prior experience as health care aid with adults or seniors is an asset.
Duties
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility (lift).
- Assist with medication administration.
- Document care provided accurately.
- Help with light cleaning duties.
- Meal assistance: prepare, serve, clean up
- Work collaboratively with family member and other care givers to deliver comprehensive care
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospital, nursing home, or home care environments preferred.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques including medication administration
- Ability to work with an individual with a disability, and to adapt to the requirements of the individual.
- Strong care giving skills combined with compassion, patience, and empathy.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with transfers safely.
- Excellent communication and listening skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Certification in care giving or relevant training is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
