This role will support the Construction Team with the monitoring and implementation of Minto’s regulatory Health and Safety Policies.In this role, you will:Responsible for monitoring, maintenance and implementation of Minto’s and Ministry of Labour’s (MOL), health and safety policies and reporting up to General Site SuperintendentResponsible to maintain safety files and log activitiesMaintain Minto employee training recordsConduct safety tool box talks with trade partners and staffHelp with the implementation and adoption of E-ComplianceResponsible to coordinate orientation for new trades on siteResponsible for tracking safety infractions and reporting on trendsResponsible to host and take minutes of joint health and safety meetingsResponsible to keep record of trade health and safety policies, toolbox meetings, safety certifications, etc.Ensure that all safety rails and ramps are compliant with MOL regulations,Ensure Trades are following health and safety policy and report any violators to the Site SuperintendentMaintain health and safety equipment on site (fire extinguishers, first aid kits, stretchers, etc.)We would like you to have:A High School Diploma and relevant post-secondary education is considered an asset.2 -5 years of health and safety experience, preferably in the construction IndustryExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Dependable/ReliableAdaptable/FlexibilityTime ManagementGood organizational skills to maintain specific timelinesAttention to detailA valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are requiredOur future is better together.
