Our client is recruiting for an EHS Coordinator in the Brampton area. The right candidate must have strong practical knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and exceptional people skills to engage the staff in daily environmental, health and safety guidelines.Shift: Day Shift – 7:30-4:30pmMonday – FridayWage: $22/hourJob Description:_The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent __may perform some or all_ _of these duties; however, it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned._· Establish site strategies, systems, and controls to ensure company objectives and compliance in the areas of environmental health and safety· Establish and report key EHS performance metrics to ensure scorecard objectives are met by site· Develop and maintain company wide EHS programs· Perform workplace inspections to ensure compliance with all EH&S legislation· Perform inspections and audits of facilities, off-site workplaces, equipment, and processes· Write policies and procedures to improve health and safety in the workplace and train employees on any changes· Responsible for company H&S manual and keeping it up to date· Conduct regular field visits to audit compliance and to provide recommendations to improve safety as required· Track and document all accidentsQualifications/Requirements· Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Health and Safety related field· 4-5 years of similar industry experience, preferably in a manufacturing warehouse· Strong practical knowledge of safety and environmental regulations· Exceptional people skills to engage the staff in daily environmental, health and safety guidelines· Knowledge working with ammonia-based refrigeration systems from a safety perspectiveAdvantages:· Free parking available· 4% banked vacation pay· Weekly pay by direct deposit· Team environment with ongoing training and developmentIf interested and qualified, please upload a copy of your resume or give us a call at .Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $22.00 per hourBenefits: Casual dress On-site parkingSchedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate: Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Work Location: In person%{{advertiserId}}% %%{{category}}%%
