Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, we are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Dewatering Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing groundwater control systems for diverse construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in hydrogeology and geotechnical engineering, along with hands-on experience in groundwater management.



Duties and Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative technologies and products related to groundwater management.

· Conduct thorough site investigations to assess groundwater conditions, permeability, and hydrogeological characteristic.


· Examine geotechnical and hydrological reports and data to formulate and execute groundwater control and dewatering plans.

· Identify and address groundwater-related challenges, offering innovative solutions to enhance system performance.

· Ensure that groundwater control activities comply with relevant environmental regulations, permits and industry standards.

· Prepare detailed engineering reports, including design calculations, drawings, and recommendations.


· Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant scientific literature.

· Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.

· Act in compliance with Aquatech’s Health and Safety and Environmental Management.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, geotechnical Engineering, or a related field is required. Master’s degree is an asset.

· Professional Engineer (PENG) license or equivalent certification in geotechnical engineering.

· 4+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a specific focus on groundwater control measures.


· Proficient in geotechnical analysis and groundwater modeling software and AutoCAD.

· Strong communication skills in business writing, technical writing, public speaking, and presentation preparation.

· Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong self-learning ability and take responsibility for your personal development, identify training needs, and request appropriate training as required.


· Very organized, heightened attention to detail, and punctual to deadlines.
