Job Description

Title of the position: General Manager (NOC 00015).<BR>Job duties:<BR> Manage and direct the activities of the business.<BR> Identify potential retail partners and establish initial contact.<BR> Discuss and finalize terms of sale, including pricing, delivery schedule, and payment<BR>terms.<BR> Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail buyers and decision-makers.<BR> Monitor accounts to ensure clients are satisfied and to help secure their repeat<BR>business.<BR> Review reports on sales activities, performance metrics, and market insights on a<BR>regular basis.<BR> Maintain clear and consistent communication with all internal and external<BR>stakeholders of the business.<BR> Identify business risks and devise solutions to mitigate those risks.<BR> Organize and chair meetings of the Board of Trustees, Investors, Audit Committee,<BR>Grievances Committee, Ethics Committee, Remuneration Committee, Management<BR>Committee, as well as the Shareholders General Meeting.<BR> Implement and manage appropriate systems and processes to ensure the business<BR>is in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.<BR> Manage issues pertaining to intellectual property rights, takeover regulations,<BR>mergers and acquisitions, joint venture agreements, memoranda of understanding<BR>and contracts, etc.<BR> Manage the corporate governance process.<BR> Formulate and implement a global legal compliance program for the business.<BR> Promote products and secure orders to ensure there is a smooth flow of goods from<BR>the suppliers to the retail stores.<BR>Terms of employment: Permanent and full-time.<BR>The language of work: English.<BR>Wage: $46.43 per hour.<BR>Benefits: None.<BR>Location of work: 1 Rideau Street, 7th & 8th Floor, Ottawa, Ontario-K1N8S7 Canada.<BR>Contact information to apply for the job: (link removed)>Skills requirements:<BR> Required education:<BR><BR>o A university degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce,<BR>or fashion management.<BR> Required work experience and skills:<BR>o Substantial experience as a manager.<BR>o Substantial experience in sales.<BR>o Substantial experience in the retail or fashion industry.<BR>o Significant experience in compliance management concerning corporate<BR>governance.<BR>o Significant experience with stakeholder management.<BR>o Must have a solid understanding of clothing and lifestyle products.<BR>o Must be well-equipped to handle the complexities of selling to clothing<BR>retailers.<BR>o Must be able to effectively contribute to the sales objectives and market<BR>expansion efforts of the business.<BR>o Must have strong leadership skills.<BR>o Must be very good in planning and executing strategies for the business.<BR>o Must have market sensitivity.<BR>o Must be proactive with a contingencies-based approach.<BR>o Must have strong negotiating skills.<BR>o Must have strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills.<BR>o Must have strong attention to detail.
