Locum Opportunity – General Internal Medicine

Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan | In partnership with the University of Saskatchewan, Department of Medicine
The Opportunity
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) – Saskatoon Area, in collaboration with the University of Saskatchewan, Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM), is seeking locum General Internal Medicine specialists to support inpatient and consultative services across Saskatoon’s three acute care hospitals:
- Royal University Hospital (RUH)
- St. Paul’s Hospital (SPH)
- Saskatoon City Hospital (SCH)
These locum roles will help meet increased service demands related to the Saskatoon City Hospital Optimization Project, which includes the addition of 60 new inpatient medicine beds.
Responsibilities
- Inpatient admitting and consultation services across RUH, SPH, and SCH.
- Opportunities for outpatient practice or community-based work may be available depending on locum duration and interest.
- Academic engagement with the College of Medicine, including clinical teaching and research, is available for interested candidates.

Qualifications
- Certification (or eligibility) in General Internal Medicine with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).
