Salary: Market relatedReference: JOB-36630Fund Development & Events ManagerA Non-for-Profit health organization is coming to Edmonton, and they are looking for a well networked Fund Development Manager to create community awareness and drive the program to self-sustainability Apply todayThe OpportunityThe Fund Development and Events Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining influential connections with existing and potential supporters, including stakeholders, foundations, donors, and sponsors. This role reports to the Provincial Expansion Lead and Chief Executive Office and is entrusted with increasing community awareness to secure funding to create a self-sustainable Northern Program. This involves utilizing various funding sources such as private donors, sponsorships, and fundraising events.This is a full-time, 2-year contract that requires active involvement in the community, including working evenings and weekends to support events and fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will recognize the impact of a donor-focused approach and will excel in enriching long-term relationships.

This individual will also find joy in active involvement within the community, networking, and participating in face-to-face presentations and meetings.Key Account Responsibilities and FunctionsActively build donor and corporate relationships through in-person interactions.Monitor and provide reports to donors and sponsors on fund allocations and the impact of those contributions.Manages the planning, organization, and promotion of fundraising events.Collaborate with the marketing team and lead the donor appreciation and recognition efforts, including branding sponsorships, appreciation events, entertainment, and thank-you communications.Manage the donor database using DonorPerfect for tracking and research purposes.Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure accurate processing of gifts, reporting, and tax receipts.Explore new community partnerships through cold-calling and face-to-face meetings.Ensures the fundraising activities adhere to the guidelines by the Association of Fundraising Professionals; coordination of registration of all lottery licenses and has knowledge of AGLC guidelines.Required Skills and QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, not-for-profit management, or a relatable field.Must have a valid Alberta Driver’s license.Familiarity with the Edmonton funding community.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, persuasive in the contact, follow-through, and completion of acquiring gifts and sponsorships.Experience in managing sales and marketing staff.Must have the ability to attend external events and fundraisers.Must meet required KPI’s.Some travel may be required.Compensation and BenefitsAnnual compensation to commensurate based on experience.Please quote Job Reference 36630Please submit your resume directly to Courtney Fawcett via email at courtney.fawecettexecutrade.comExecutrade is one of the largest and most comprehensive full-service recruitment firms in Western Canada, with 11 divisions and locations in Edmonton and Calgary.
