Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP EAM Functional Lead to support a major enterprise transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.This role will lead the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) / Plant Maintenance (PM) workstream, driving functional design, system configuration, data migration strategy, and business process transformation throughout the S/4HANA implementation lifecycle.
This is a high-impact role within a large-scale ERP modernization program.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the SAP EAM/PM functional workstream during ECC to S/4HANA conversion
Drive business process design for asset lifecycle management, work order management, and preventive maintenance
Analyze ECC configurations and define required changes for S/4HANA simplification
Lead fit-gap workshops and translate business requirements into functional specifications
Oversee configuration of equipment, functional locations, task lists, maintenance plans, and work order processes
Support asset master data transformation and migration strategy
Ensure integration alignment with MM, FI/CO, procurement, and other modules
Guide testing strategy (SIT, UAT), defect resolution, and deployment readiness
Support cutover planning and post-go-live stabilization
Partner with technical teams on data migration, reporting, and Fiori enablement
Serve as functional SME and mentor junior analysts
Required Qualifications
8+ years of SAP EAM / SAP PM functional experience
Hands-on experience with at least one S/4HANA implementation or system conversion
Strong understanding of ECC vs. S/4HANA differences within EAM
Experience leading workstreams in enterprise ERP transformation programs
Proven background in asset hierarchy design and work order configuration
Experience supporting data migration and cutover activities
Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
Preferred Experience
Brownfield (system conversion) and/or Greenfield S/4HANA experience
SAP Activate methodology exposure
Experience in utilities, manufacturing, energy, pharma, or other asset-intensive industries
Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps for maintenance
Integration experience with MM, FI/CO, procurement, and inventory management
