Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and assisting the dental team in creating a positive patient experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of dental procedures and patient care protocols.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and recommend appropriate treatments or products.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, providing support with instruments and patient management.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Trackers or similar dental management software.
- Manage patient questions and concerns with professionalism and excellent customer service skills.
- Ensure the dental operatory is clean, organized, and compliant with infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing.
- Experience with Trackers or other dental practice management software preferred.
- Knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred; customer service skills are essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities are required for success in this role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58.00-$68.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
