Here is your chance to join the Crown Beverage Division.

Working independently, the successful candidates shall an intermediate level of mechanical and technical skills and be able to adjust, set up, maintain, test, adapt, troubleshoot, overhaul, rebuild, and improve or modify the function of electro-mechanical and hydraulic equipment for standard or specialized application to products or to new methods.  The successful candidate shall be able to measure and adjust with accuracies of a tenth of a thousand and have knowledge of the operation of press equipment.



Check schedule to determine the need for change-over or if scheduled maintenance is in order.

Determine if schedule can be adjusted and time allows for overhaul, repair, or re-    adjustments determined by equipment.

Assist with change overs as required.


Check machines.

Analyze any and all types of mechanical or operational troubles and plan for corrective action.

Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to     maintain maximum production and quality.

Make change-overs by setting up assigned equipment for change in material, product or size.

Make repairs or overhaul as required, short of machining parts.


Replace worn or damaged parts.

Re-time machine action.

Operate equipment to check operation.

Clean and lubricate as required.



Clear jams.

Check lubricants, supplies, and add or change or mix materials.

Examine, test and measure product from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using appropriate gauges and instruments, and record data.

Check product for visual     defects.


Mix lubricants as necessary.

Unload coils and check coils for proper material.

Load coils onto downender and check uncoiler as necessary.  Make preventative maintenance checks and inspection of assigned equipment, report findings and take appropriate action.

Analyze spoilage as to cause and where possible, take corrective action, analyze and record comments regarding cause of production delays on production report or log books.


Advise internal suppliers of problems and requirements.

Notify superintendent of any incidences of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken as well as any incidences of non-conforming materials and     supplies.

Ensure the smooth flow of cups and cans through assigned area and to the decorator area.

Collect water samples from designated locations, test concentrations, record results and     add chemicals when required.


Check for concentration of oils, chemicals and P.



H. factors.

Based on above testing results, add required chemicals according to standard     procedure or replace washer water.

Maintain piping system and check, repair or replace     valves and controls.


Use tow motor, or any other mechanical devices, for the handling of drums and performing related duties.

Notify PM&R maintainer or supervisor of     recurring equipment malfunctions or potentially dangerous equipment or practices     noticed and advise corrective action recommended or taken.

Complete assigned process and maintenance shift reports.

Facilitate reliefs throughout the front-end area.


Keep assigned area clean and hazard free.

Ensure that all safety equipment, devices and guards are properly used and in place at all times.

Follow safe working procedures and safety rules.

Successful candidates must have a minimum of 4 years previous experience working in an automated manufacturing environment and strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
