PepsiCo Foods Canada has current openings at the Frito Lay Facility in Cambridge, ON for a Shunter.

Compensation: $29.99 per hour

Responsibilities

• Moving trailers with standard shift tractor


• Utilization of tablets with company software to facilitate moves in and out of dock doors


• Constant communication over the radios with our warehouse supervisors for shunting support


• Selecting orders and matching trailers to load cube


• Ensuring All Trailers are sealed as per protocol


• Executing yard checks to provide visibility on trailer inventory


• Duties subject to productivity standards, safe driving, accuracy, timeliness and safety requirements


• Maintain cardboard check sheets on a daily basis


• Interact with vendors, common carriers, and drivers to provide yard information


• Other duties as assigned


• Completing Quality/Food Safety training and adhering to the Food Safety Pre Requisite Programs (PRP/oPRP) that is required for the applicable area

Qualifications

• Completed high school diploma or GED equivalent


• Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract


• 1-3 years Tractor/Trailer experience


• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.


• Able to excel under pressure


• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.


• Able to maintain professional disposition even when faced with difficult situations.


• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills, and accept new business changes
