<p>Our client, a leading logistics and distribution center in Mississauga, ON, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the warehouse operations supporting various departments including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.</p> <p><strong>Job Title: </strong>Forklift Operator</p> <p><strong>Location: </strong>Mississauga, ON</p> <p><strong>Shifts</strong><br> <strong>Morning:</strong> 6:00am to 2:30pm<br> <strong>Afternoon: </strong>2:00pm to 10:30pm<br> <strong>Night: </strong>10:00pm to 6:30am<br> <br> <strong>Pay Range</strong>: $21.60 - $22.90 per hour</p> <p><strong>What's the Job?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Operate electric Powered Industrial Trucks such as Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Rider Jacks, and Sit Down Forklifts to move merchandise and materials within the warehouse. <li>Pick, pull, and stack merchandise, including boxes up to 50 pounds, onto pallets for distribution. <li>Perform daily equipment inspections to ensure safety and operational efficiency. <li>Support various warehouse functions including receiving, returns, damages, transfers, and shipping as needed. <li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety policies and procedures. </ul> <p><strong>What's Needed?</strong></p> <ul> <li>At least 1 year of experience operating Cherry Pickers or similar equipment; Reach Truck/Forklift experience is a plus. <li>Ability to acquire and maintain Forklift Certification. <li>Comfort working at heights and wearing fall protection and other PPE. <li>Proficiency with RF scanners, voice picking systems, and other warehouse technologies. <li>Strong attention to detail, excellent counting skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. </ul> <p><strong>What's in it for me?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment. <li>Gain valuable experience operating various warehouse machinery and systems. <li>Be part of a company committed to safety and operational excellence. <li>Potential for ongoing career development within the organization. <li>Work in a location that values diversity and inclusion, encouraging a welcoming workplace for all candidates. </ul> <p>If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
