Education

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in metal fabrication or related field

  • Previous supervisory/leadership experience is an asset

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of metal fabricators, welders, and general laborers

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan work activities

  • Ensure fabrication work meets quality standards, project timelines, and safety regulations

  • Train and mentor staff in proper use of equipment, tools, and safety procedures

  • Allocate materials and resources efficiently to maximize productivity

  • Inspect completed work for accuracy and compliance with specifications

  • Prepare work progress reports and maintain production records

  • Enforce safety rules and promote a safe working environment

Equipment and Machinery Experience

  • Welding and cutting equipment

  • Metal forming, bending, and rolling machinery

  • Overhead cranes and lifting devices
