Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead our financial management and reporting functions. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all accounting operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive strategic financial planning. Your expertise will help shape the financial health of our organization, providing transparency through accurate reporting and insightful analysis. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and possesses a strong foundation in diverse accounting disciplines, including governmental, non-profit, and public accounting environments. Responsibilities

*Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and cash management.

*Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and other regulatory requirements.

*Oversee financial report writing, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal stakeholders and external regulators.

*Lead budgeting processes, forecasting activities, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

*Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to maintain accurate financial records.

*Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure adherence to policies across all financial functions.

*Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms to streamline processes and improve data accuracy.

*Collaborate with auditors during audits, ensuring timely completion of audit procedures and compliance documentation.

*Develop training programs for staff on technical accounting standards like double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation techniques, and financial concepts.

Skills

*Extensive knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance, governmental accounting standards, and non-profit accounting practices.

*Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent systems; strong technical accounting skills are essential.

*Demonstrated experience in cash management, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable management, and payroll processing.

*Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and account analysis.

*Excellent financial report writing skills with the ability to interpret complex data into clear insights for diverse audiences.

*Ability to perform detailed financial analysis and forecasting to support organizational growth strategies.

*Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for accuracy in balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis tasks.
