Compensation: $100,000 $200,000+ annually (fee-split structure)

Our client, a well-established and growing law firm in Victoria, BC, is seeking a mid- to senior-level Family Lawyer to join its thriving litigation practice. The Role
The successful candidate will manage family law files from initial client intake through to resolution, working on a variety of matters including separation, parenting arrangements, property division, and related litigation.
This role offers the opportunity to build and maintain a personal practice while benefiting from the firms infrastructure, professional support, and marketing resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of family law matters from retainer to resolution
- Provide strategic advice to clients on family law disputes and negotiations
- Conduct mediations, negotiations, and court appearances as required
- Draft pleadings, affidavits, agreements, and other legal documentation
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide high-quality client service
- Participate in networking and business development initiatives
- Contribute to the firms collaborative and collegial team culture
- 3+ years of litigation experience, with a focus on family law preferred
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
- Demonstrated ability to manage files independently
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills
- Client-focused approach with strong organizational abilities
- Interest in developing and maintaining a personal client base
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Fee-split remuneration model with strong earning potential
- Annual billing target of approximately 1,220 hours
