Facilities Maintenance Planner
Job Description
The Maintenance coordinator role – Operational Equipment is responsible for the inspection, preventive maintenance, repair coordination, compliance, and lifecycle management of operational equipment and shop assets. The role ensures equipment remains safe, compliant, and available to support business operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for forklifts, lifts, compressors, tanks, and other operational equipment.
- Coordinate required inspections and certifications for lifting devices and safety-related equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate asset registry including serial numbers, locations, and service history.
- Maintain the calibration records / PM program for process operational tools.
- Track maintenance completion, inspection dates, and service intervals.
- Receive and coordinate repair requests and manage breakdown response.
- Schedule and supervise third-party service vendors and contractors.
- Review service reports and confirm quality and completion of work.
- Monitor equipment downtime and identify recurring issues.
- Track maintenance costs and support budget planning.
- Maintain documentation including warranties, certificates, and compliance records.
- Support lifecycle planning and provide recommendations for equipment replacement.
Competencies
- 3–5 years experience in maintenance coordination or industrial equipment environment.
- Knowledge of operational equipment device regulations.
- Strong technical - Mechanical or Electrical background.
- Familiar with safety and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Experience using CMMS or asset tracking system "Fiix, SAP, E-maint" preferred.
