Join ABC's Audio On Demand team as an Executive Producer and help shape the future of Australian podcasting. Based in our Sydney studio, you'll lead the creative direction of ABC Audio Podcasts, working with talented producers and hosts to deliver compelling content that connects with audiences across the nation.
About the Opportunity
This full-time contract position offers the chance to oversee podcast production from concept to publication.
What You'll Do
- Project manage all aspects of podcast production, delivering outcomes on time and within budget.
- Identify and develop new content ideas, formats and talent.
- Manage production schedules, budgets, compliance and resource allocation
- Provide high level editorial oversight of assigned productions.
- Collaborate with marketing and digital teams to maximize audience engagement
Position Description: EXECUTIVE
About You
To be successful in the role you will bring:
- Extensive experience in audio production, with specific podcast expertise.
- Significant project management skills including planning and managing production schedules and resources.
- Proven ability to lead a small team high performing team.
- Confident and clear communication skills with strong interpersonal skills and proven experience in successfully liaising with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of podcast audiences and trends, including international podcast distribution trends and digital strategies.
- Demonstrated high level consistent and creative approach to impactful narrative program making for target audience. Experience and creativity in all aspects of audio content making, including story structure, high level script writing and editing skills, audio editing and production
- Demonstrated ability to exercise reliable editorial and legal judgement.
- Demonstrated experience in being a confident and clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills and proven experience in successfully liaising with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Ability to maximise content distribution through creative packaging of audio content, including surrounding online content such as images, headlines and story synopsis.
