DESCRIPTION
- Ranger Equity Investments (REI) is a student managed fund that invests globally. We have $80K AUM and is deployed globally. Our benchmark is MSCI World.

- This position is NOT paid, excluding performance-based bonuses for analysts.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyst
- Your primary responsibility will be to cover 5-10 companies in your sector coverage and write at least 3 detailed investment memos and models during your time at REI. Portfolio and watchlist companies require daily tracking and monitoring, which analysts will be in charge of. Additionally, if your coverage team has associates, analysts will be managing and overseeing the work of the associates.
Junior portfolio manager
- The junior portfolio manager will be engaging in portfolio management tasks such as risk management, currency risk management, attribution analysis, as well as administrative tasks.
Associate
- Associates will be assisting the analysts in their coverage, including finding information for or drafting investment memos and models under the guidance of the analysts. Analysts may also offload some of their coverage to you.
REQUIREMENTS
- Undergraduate students studying business, finance, or commerce, with a strong interest in equity research.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Willing to put in the hours, as well as willing to learn.
- Must have at least one year left of study.
- Must NOT be working on full-time internships during the summer.
- Minimum commitment: one year or longer.

SELECTION PROCESS
- Interviews will be given on a rolling basis. Only selected candidates will be contacted through email.
- You will be asked to indicate your 1st and 2nd choice for departments.
- Step 1: If your resume gets selected, you will first be selected by the Analyst(s) in your respective team. You will be given 3 days to produce an investment pitch based on the company that the analyst provides. You’ll be able to meet with the analyst to discuss your investment proposal.
- Step 2: If you are selected for the second round, you will meet with the portfolio manager.
- For junior portfolio manager candidates, you will directly meet with the portfolio manager.
