Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various heavy machinery and equipment to support projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects utilizing advanced equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators, and graders. Candidates with strong mechanical knowledge and experience in heavy equipment operation are encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, loaders, skid steer, backhoe, roller, dump truck etc. in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform pre and post-operation inspections of equipment and complete daily inspection logs.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment, such as checking fluid levels, lubricating parts, and cleaning.
- Maintenance of equipment including cleaning tracks, topping off oil, fuel, etc.
- General labour activities such as clearing worksites, raking/shoveling, loading and unloading supplies and materials, etc.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, backhoes, and paving machinery.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience in construction environments with a focus on heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
