At GFL our goal is to invest in our people and provide opportunities to grow, for lifeOur employees are affectionately known as team green, a name that unites us all under our shared purpose of providing sustainable solutions to enable our customers and communities to be GREEN FOR LIFEWe offer a competitive benefits plan, including RRSP match, orthodontics and vision coverageWith 20,000 employees across North America, we offer a dynamic set of career opportunities, locations and growthWe appreciate all of the local communities we live and work in, and actively contribute to them through our flagship Full Circle ProjectWe believe investing in the future is the right investment, our first fully electric truck is now in operationGFL is traded on the NYSE & the TSX – search “GFL” to see our stock performanceAs a GFL Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for all duties related to the operator function.Outlined below are specific responsibilities for each job function:A) Lift Truck Operator Trailer loading/Unloading:Ensure that all necessary circle checks are performed on equipment and appropriate paper work be filled out with each change of operator.Ensure that all baled material be loaded/unloaded on appropriate trucks and or containers.Bales to be inspected and DRESSED prior to loading.Inspection of trailer is to be completed prior to loading and recorded on the appropriate report sheet.Any damage must be reported to supervisor immediately.Confirm the maximum weight requirements at the time of loading.Confirm both maximum and minimum weights when loading containers.Confirm the material to be loaded with the load sheet.Fill in all information on load sheet as instructed.Must confirm that the truck is secured prior to loading as per GFL Policy.This includes use of chocks, glad hand locks by drivers and or tractor to remain with trailer until completely loaded.Ensure trailers are always loaded promptly.Upon completion paper work to be filled out and given to Scale.B) Removal of bales from Balers:Using forklift to remove bales from the baler in a safe efficient manner for storage or direct loading onto trailer.Ensure when stacking bales that they be no more than 4 bales high and stored in designated areas. NO bales stored in walkways or areas designated as emergency routes.Control the quality of recyclables being loaded in the drum feeder, to ensure that all large sized non recyclables be removed from the material prior to being loaded on the metering conveyor.GFLTalentWe thank you for your interest.
