We’re Hiring: Environmental Specialist – London, ON
Position Summary:
As the Environmental Specialist, you will manage audits, provide training, support incident investigations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure environmental excellence across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and improve the site’s Environmental Management System (EMS)
- Coordinate internal and external audits, inspections, and certification activities
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, reporting, and waste management programs
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Provide environmental training and guidance to employees and contractors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support Health & Safety initiatives
Education & Experience:
- Post‑secondary education in Environmental Science, Engineering, Technology, Sustainability, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar environmental role
- Certified or actively pursuing Environmental Management System Lead Auditor designation
- Strong knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations
- Health & Safety experience or certification is an asset
Skills & Competencies:
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and in a team
- Professional, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement
