Are you interested in an opportunity to grow professionally within a positive and progressive culture? Northern Health is seeking an Energy Specialist to join our Capital Planning & Support Services department.

In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Energy Specialist supports the energy and sustainability management of the organization at the corporate and facility level. The Specialist is responsible for supporting energy conservation initiatives across Northern Health (NH), including the effective identification, promotion, implementation, evaluation of energy conservation programs, and the development of a long-term energy management plan. The Energy Specialist collects and performs analysis on utility data for energy use performance tracking, greenhouse gas emission reporting, and to support management decisions. The Energy Specialist also monitors Building Automation Systems for scheduling and maximum efficiency. The position explores and helps develop and promote business cases around sustainability and energy conservation related projects. Key partnerships include Facility Maintenance Managers, site Maintenance Supervisors, Engineers, and Project Managers as well as representatives from external agencies and organizations such as NRCan, BC Hydro, FortisBC, and other external contractors. The Energy Specialist helps engage staff by education and promotion within the organization regarding energy-focused project plans and works closely with facilities staff to ensure that they receive any available incentives where eligibility is met.

Starting salary will be approximately from $67,861 to $84,826 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
