Electrical Journeyman/woman
Job Description
We are currently seeking a licensed Electrical Journeyman to join our team for local work in the Greater Sudbury area. This position follows a 5-5-4 rotation schedule and involves a mix of industrial, mining, commercial, and residential electrical work. Candidates must be reliable, safety-focused, and capable of working independently or as part of a crew.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment
- Perform industrial and mining electrical work including MCCs, motors, VFDs, cable tray, conduit, and power distribution
- Install and terminate power, control, and instrumentation cables
- Support equipment installation, shutdowns, and commissioning activities
- Complete commercial electrical installations including lighting, panels, and distribution systems
- Perform residential service work such as panel upgrades, wiring, troubleshooting, and device installation
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures and site safety requirements
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Ensure compliance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and OHSA regulations
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Electrical License (309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician and/or 442A Industrial Electrician)
- Must be local to the Greater Sudbury area (no camp accommodations provided)
- Ability to work a 5-5-4 rotation schedule
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work safely in industrial, mining, commercial, and residential environments
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
