DZ Driver – Downtown

We are growing again! We are hiring an experienced DZ drivers to join our team in Toronto.

• Full time, Monday-Friday
• 55-65 hours/week
• 5am/6 am start
• $25.96/hour

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• DZ License
• Criminal Record Check: Must have and maintain a clean record
• Clean Driver’s Abstract
• Clean CVOR
• Able to read, write and understand English
• 2-3 year’s experience driving downtown Toronto
• Able to sit for long periods of time, work, and drive in all kinds of weather and lift up to 100 lbs (hand bombing)
• Able to work long hours (up to 70 hours in a 7-day period) making deliveries on a timely basis while observing safety and vehicle laws

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver LTL freight
• Perform mandatory safety inspections daily on the vehicles and report all equipment needs to the Fleet Manager
• Complete all required paperwork (run sheets, logbooks and inspection reports) in an orderly and timely manner.
• Follow all Company policies and procedures.
• Communicate with dispatch after every pick-up via a microphone system, as well as updates every 20 minutes
• Inspect and monitor movements of all goods on an off the truck
• Identify and document all freight damage by providing a detailed description
